Interior Design Assistant / Sales Assoc.

Bluffton, SC

Founded by Martha’s Vineyard Interior Design, Bespoke Abode has expanded to the low country and opened a 2nd location in Bluffton, SC September 2023.

Bespoke Abode is a home décor and furnishings and window treatment showroom which also offers In-house Residential Interior Design Services.

We are looking for a highly motivated, creative, and forward-thinking Interior Design Assistant / Sale Associate with a passion for design, sales, & customer service to join our growing design team.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills in this client/customer facing role and will be able to effectively manage multiple initiatives as the company grows and their career advances.

The Interior Design Assistant / Sales Associate is responsible for taking existing conditions on site for our Interior Design projects, drawing plans and interior elevations in AutoCad, working closely with the In-house Designer on all phases of interior design projects.

As a member of an in-house design team, this position also requires the ability to work with customers for both retail and custom design sales.  Custom sales include window treatment consultation and specification as well as custom furniture.

Applicants should be creative and productive forward thinkers who work well in a team environment. 

Applicants should be well versed in the interior design process from concept phase, design development, and sourcing and selection, through procurement, production and installation.

Professional level proficiency in Auto CAD is a must. Applicants who do not meet this requirement need not apply.  

Bespoke Abode Interior Design Assistants and Sales Associates report to the Showroom Manager/In-house Designer.

This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary and benefits package!!!

Responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with the Showroom Manager / In-house Designer assisting with all phases of the design process from concept to installation.

  • Preparing presentations for client meetings per Designer’s direction.

  • Requesting samples and pro-forma quotes from vendors for furnishings, fixtures, and finishes

  • Attending regular site visits with Designer.

  • Ensuring documents, work orders, and presentations are completed per the project timeline and follow the company’s standard operating procedures.

  • Recording site measurements and drawing floor plans and interior elevations in AutoCad.

  • Faciliating on-site measuring, templating and installations with subcontractors per the direction of the Showroom Manager /In-house designer.

  • Prepareing work-orders for workrooms per the direction of the Showroom Manager / In-house Designer.

  • Maintains material sample library and attends meetings with industry reps.

Requirements / Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in Residential design. Some Co-Ops may qualify!

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office

  • Experience taking existing conditions on site.

  • Thrives in a creative and collaborative environment

  • Easily adapts to changing priorities and tasks

  • Displays strong organizational and time management skills to meet the requirement of projects and deadlines, as well as sales goals.

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include weekends and some holidays (excluding Thanksgiving and Christmas) when showroom sales coverage is needed.

Retail Sales Associate

Bluffton, SC

Founded by Martha’s Vineyard Interior Design, Bespoke Abode, is expanding to the south and opening a 2nd location in Bluffton, SC, opening Spring 2023.

Bespoke Abode is a home décor and furnishings store which also offers residential interior design services.

We are looking for Retail Sales Associates with a passion for customer service and a flare for design to join our growing team.  

Responsibilities Include:

  • Customer service; Create a welcoming and inspiring customer experience as a company brand ambassador

  • Store sales; Displaying ability to upsell and hit sales targets

  • Use of POS system

  • Displays product knowledge, strong communication & interpersonal skills

  • Maintaining shop floor standards & attention to detail

  • Inventory management; Processing store deliveries

  • Support Store Manager with visual merchandising & window display

  • Assist with store events  

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule that include weekends and some holidays (excluding Thanksgiving and Christmas).

 Full-Time & Part Time positions available.

Competitive Salary

Previous retail experience & use of a POS system is required.
